Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in West London, are looking for an experienced Emergency Housing Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their Housing Management Operations. 

Position: Emergency Housing Officer
Rate: £28.19 ph Umbrella
Contract Duration: 4 Months with possible extension
Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for verification of occupancy of emergency units, cancellation and movement of households within available units to achieve best use of nightly paid accommodation
• Work closely with the housing benefits service to ensure maximum take-up of benefits to households placed in hotels, hostels and other emergency accommodation schemes.
• Responsible for ensuring that all landlord invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner, in accordance with council procedures and financial controls.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• Previous experience working in a Emergency Housing Officer or a similar role.
• Basic DBS
