JOB ROLE

A leading international law firm is seeking a Junior Associate to join its Antitrust/Competition practice in either Beijing.

The successful candidate will have 1–3 years’ post-qualification experience in antitrust/competition law, ideally gained at a leading international law firm or comparable practice.


JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

• Conducting merger control filing analyses and assessing relevant competition issues.
• Researching applicable case law, regulatory guidance and decisional practice.
• Preparing client information requests and supporting merger control processes.
• Drafting merger control filings, submissions and related correspondence.
• Advising on behavioural, conduct and other antitrust/competition matters.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and clients on cross-border matters.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

• Strong academic credentials and solid technical knowledge of competition law.
• 1–3 years’ PQE in an antitrust/competition practice.
• Strong drafting, research and analytical skills.
• Sound commercial judgment and attention to detail.
• The ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-border environment.
• Fluency in English; Mandarin language capability would be an advantage.
