Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in East of England, are looking for an experienced Biodiversity Net Gains Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their ecological plans. 

Position: Biodiversity Net Gains Officer
Rate: £35 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35) 
Contract Duration: Temp (Dec 2026) Possible Extension
Working Arrangement: Mainly Remote

Job Responsibilities:

• Setting up the Exacom module for BNG monitoring (BBC providing IT support; experience in Exacom is desirable but we can offer training).
• Reviewing how BBC uses Uniform (and Exacom), to ensure all data is made available in the system, so BNG reporting is produced in the most automated format possible and in real-time. 
• Review the information submitted for approval of BNG Plans from April 2026 to date and assist the DM Manager to plan for data transfer to Exacom, to ensure monitoring of the BNG Plans. 
• Support planning officers and Planning Support Team with inputting the correct data on Uniform, triggering the monitoring module on Exacom. 

Job Requirements:

• Experienced in using Uniform for planning data entry and reporting.
• Experienced in preparing BNG monitoring datasets and data transfers.
• Experienced in working with Development Management and planning support teams.
