Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority based in South London, are looking for an experienced Senior Environmental Health Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their Housing Estates and Improvement Operations.       

Position: Senior Environmental Health Officer
Rate: £50 ph Umbrella
Contract Duration: 3 Months possible extension
Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Job Responsibilities: 

• Improve standards within private rented sector, (including housing association owned premises), to protect the health, safety and welfare of residents. 
• To carry out inspections and take statutory action/s relating to private sector dwellings to ensure a dequate standards.
• To take legal action, including prosecutions, relating to the failure of landlords to comply with legal responsibilities.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• Fully qualified Environmental Health Officer OR A relevant qualification/degree (equivalent in relevant discipline).
• Excellent knowledge and recent experience as a Senior Environmental Health Officer or similar role.
