Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a North London Council are looking for a Principal Network Compliance Officer to join their team. 

Position: Principal Network Compliance Officer
ate: £17.91 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: 6 Months 

The Principal Network Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety, maintenance, and compliance of highways and street works within the borough. This role involves the inspection and enforcement of relevant legislation, including the New Roads and Street Works Act, the Highways Act, and the Traffic Management Act. The successful candidate will oversee statutory undertakers' works, enforce regulations, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the road network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections and enforcement activities to ensure compliance with highways and street works legislation.
• Supervise statutory undertakers’ works and ensure adherence to the Council’s Network Management Duty.
• Issue notices, legal documents, and enforcement actions, including fixed penalty notices, as required.

• Strong knowledge of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, Traffic Management Act 2004, and Highways Act 1980.
• Experience in highways and street works enforcement, including evidence preparation and legal case presentation.
• Ability to issue enforcement notices and take appropriate legal actions to ensure compliance.
• Full Clean Driving Licence
