• PAY RATE: $98,000 - $130,000 Per Annum

JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:  

• This role will work in Corporate Accounting as an expert and project lead on a variety of U.S. GAAP and SEC technical accounting issues. It will do this by independently investigating complex transactions and new accounting guidance on time, evaluating the implications, recording conclusions, liaising with affected businesses and corporate departments, providing training, and overseeing an implementation plan.
• Technical accounting advice in a variety of areas, including contracts, revenue recognition, leases, derivatives, VIE evaluations, impairment analysis, acquisitions, divestitures, and general application of new and current accounting standards, is expected to be regularly provided by this role.
• Because this position exclusively deals with leases, it is preferred that candidates have extensive expertise and knowledge in this field. It is also anticipated that this role will foster the growth of other members of the Corporate Accounting and Technical Accounting teams who support the completion of the technical accounting evaluations.
• In order to plan and complete tasks/projects on time, the candidate must rely on expertise and good judgement. This includes the capacity to operate under pressure and proactively collaborate with external auditors to expedite the resolution of technical accounting difficulties.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

• A bachelor's degree in a discipline that is directly relevant to and necessary for this position; a degree in finance or accounting is desirable.
• More than seven years of relevant experience, preferably with a focus on technical accounting and memo writing
• Advanced computer abilities are necessary; proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required. The ability to conduct technical research utilising a variety of research tools is also required; some familiarity with SAP and Power BI is recommended.
• Proficient in both written and spoken communication.
