- You're comfortable with SIT, UAT, regression, and data conversion testing, and you can write SQL to validate what the front end won't show you.

The organisation is undertaking a major payroll transformation program, replacing legacy payroll infrastructure with modern workforce management and payroll platforms. This is a high-profile, well-funded program with significant scale and long-term investment.
About the role This Senior Test Analyst sits within the central testing function of the payroll transformation program, reporting to the Program Test Manager. You will execute testing across SIT, UAT, regression, data conversion, and historical parallel payroll validation — working hands-on with payroll, workforce management, and time and attendance systems across a workforce governed by multiple enterprise agreements.

Duties/Key responsibilities - Execute end-to-end test cycles across payroll, workforce management, and time and attendance systems
- Validate gross-to-net payroll calculations, pay components, and downstream system impacts
- Test award interpretation logic, EBA rules, and labour compliance configurations
- Support data conversion testing and parallel payroll validation against legacy outputs
- Raise, triage, and drive defects across business, technology, and vendor teams
- Collaborate with Payroll SMEs, Business Analysts, and technology leads to validate business process outcomes
- Contribute to test planning, test data setup, and environment readiness
Skills and experience - Demonstrated experience as a Test Analyst or Senior Test Analyst in enterprise payroll or workforce management programs
- Hands-on testing of payroll systems — pay runs, gross-to-net, award interpretation, and leave entitlements at a functional level
- Experience with parallel payroll testing, data migration validation, or legacy-to-new system cutovers
- Exposure to enterprise testing tools such as Jira, Zephyr, and Confluence
- SQL skills for data validation and reconciliation
- Experience coordinating defect resolution across multiple vendors and delivery partners
- Familiarity with platforms such as ADP, Dayforce, Preceda, UKG, or Workday is highly regarded
