Fast-growing, purpose-led and Private-Equity backed organisation is looking for a Melbourne-based Business Development Manager to drive international retail growth across the US, Korea, and Europe.
About the role:
This newly created Business Development Manager role reports to the executive leadership team and will lead new business development across major international retail accounts. With a strong domestic foundation already in place, this business is now focused on landing large-scale partnerships with major global retailers. You'll own your pipeline, build your strategy, and be empowered to execute it. Some international travel will be required.

Key Responsibilities: - Identify, pursue, and convert major international retail partnerships, with a strong focus on the US market alongside Korea and Europe.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close, including pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM use.
- Develop bespoke product and commercial proposals tailored to individual retail partners.
- Collaborate with internal account management, product development, and leadership teams to ensure seamless delivery once partnerships are won.
- Maintain awareness of international retail trends, competitor activity, and market dynamics across target regions.
Skills and Experience: - Proven track record in national or international account management or business development, ideally within beauty, skincare, FMCG, or adjacent consumer goods sectors.
- Experience working with large-format or mass-market retailers is highly regarded.
- A natural relationship builder who can walk into a room, understand what a customer needs, and build trust from scratch.
- Commercially sharp, target-driven, and comfortable navigating long and complex sales cycles.
- Curious, inquisitive mindset with the ability to think strategically and execute independently.
- Project management capability to manage timelines and coordinate across internal teams.
