Solution Architect - 12 month contract
An ASX-listed business mid-way through a significant transformation, building independent technology and supply chain capability following a major corporate demerger.
About the Role
Reporting to the Enterprise Architect, this role is the primary architectural authority for forecasting and replenishment. You will lead technical discovery, options analysis, and integration design across a complex supply chain ecosystem, working closely with technology leadership, program managers, and a broad architecture community during a critical ERP rollout.

Duties / Key Responsibilities - Lead technical discovery workshops and architecture-led evaluation of demand planning and inventory replenishment solutions
- Conduct platform-agnostic options analysis, documenting trade-offs, costs, and risks with clear, value-based recommendations
- Define integration blueprints and data flow mappings to ensure end-to-end solution integrity across the supply chain and broader ERP programme
- Act as architectural decision-maker in complex technical debates, influencing stakeholders using data and architectural principles
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to internal technology teams throughout the replenishment evaluation and ERP rollout
Skills and Experience - 12+ years of solution architecture experience with a strong focus on retail supply chain and ERP integrations
- Deep functional knowledge of forecasting and replenishment systems and processes
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate third-party vendor solutions, manage technical RFPs, and navigate designs through an Architecture Review Board
- Experience supporting large-scale ERP programmes from a retail architecture perspective
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate across technical and executive audiences
- Familiarity with TOGAF or similar architecture frameworks applied in an Agile delivery context
- Experience with supply chain platforms such as O9, Relex, or SAP (desirable)
- SAP S/4HANA certification or equivalent experience (desirable)
- Proficiency with architecture modelling tools such as Ardoq or LucidChart (desirable)
