A well-established professional services organization is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support daily accounting operations in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with prior law firm or professional services experience who demonstrates discretion, accuracy, and strong organizational skills. The Junior Accountant will work closely with the accounting team to support accounts payable, trust and operating account reconciliations, banking activities, reporting, and general accounting functions. A strong understanding of legal accounting practices and the ability to manage sensitive financial data with integrity are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Support daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, banking, and trust accounts
Reconcile trust and operating bank accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance
Process vendor invoices, expense reimbursements, and related documentation
Assist with accounts receivable tracking and reporting activities
Support trust account management in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements
Prepare routine and ad hoc financial reports for internal stakeholders
Maintain accurate electronic records and accounting documentation
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and support month-end activities
Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
2+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment
Experience with legal accounting software (such as Aderant, Elite, or similar platforms)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Strong verbal and written communication skills
