Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Compensation: $19–$22per hour (DOE)

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Specialist to join a dynamic finance team in North Miami. This role is responsible for supporting daily accounts payable operations, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and vendor reconciliations.Our client operates in the international travel retail and duty-free industry, providing retail services and product distribution within major travel environments.
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform reconciliation of vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies promptly.
• Process a variety of payment applications including wires, ACH, credit card transactions, and internal fund transfers.
• Conduct thorough 3-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and goods received to ensure accuracy in quantity and cost for inventory vendors.
• Review all incoming invoices for appropriate documentation and approvals prior to posting.
• Provide assistance during month-end closing activities by ensuring all accounts payable entries are up to date.

Requirements:

• Proficient in accounting and spreadsheet applications such as Quicken and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical skills to sort, check, count, cross-reference, and reconcile numbers effectively.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

 
Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, Microsoft AX, or Great Plains.
• Background in accounting and accounts payable processes.
• Prior experience performing invoice reconciliation and three-way matching.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus, but English-only candidates will be considered.
