A highly respected South Florida organization in the search for a Litigation Paralegal to join its in-house legal team. Responsibilities - Provide day-to-day legal support for litigation, pre-litigation, dispute resolution, and employment-related matters
- Draft, review, and organize pleadings, subpoenas, discovery responses, legal correspondence, and position statements
- Manage legal calendars and track deadlines, hearings, depositions, mediations, and filings
- Support matters involving premises liability, personal injury, vendor and contractor disputes, landlord/tenant issues, and workers’ compensation claims
- Assist with workplace complaints, internal investigations, EEOC matters, and wage and hour-related issues
- Conduct legal research and prepare clear summaries on procedural, labor, employment, and liability-related issues
- Coordinate with HR, Risk, Operations, and other internal departments to gather records and support legal processes
- Handle state and federal e-filing and help ensure timely, accurate submissions
- Maintain organized electronic and physical legal files, including discovery, incident reports, personnel documentation, and internal records
- Assist with hearing and trial preparation, including exhibits, witness coordination, and case logistics
- Communicate professionally with outside counsel, insurance carriers, and third-party partners
- Handle sensitive legal and personnel information with the highest level of discretion
Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree required
- Paralegal certificate or Certified Legal Assistant designation required
- 3+ years of paralegal experience with strong litigation support exposure
- Experience supporting matters involving general liability, employment claims, landlord/tenant disputes, insurance-related matters, or personal injury strongly preferred
- In-house legal department experience is a plus
- Strong familiarity with litigation procedures, deadlines, and e-filing in state and federal court
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, SharePoint, and legal document management systems such as iManage
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, responsive, and able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy
- Professional presence, sound judgment, and the ability to work well independently and collaboratively
