Position Objective:
Our client, one of the largest US-based service companies, has engaged us to find their next Senior Financial Analyst.
This is a great opportunity for an FP&A professional, who has a strong inclination for reporting, financial analysis and who is eager to become a strong business partner to the commercial team.
As their Senior Financial Analyst, you will primarily be responsible for helping to analyze, interpret, communicate, predict, and drive business results and will include the following:
FP&A best practices for modeling, planning, reporting, and data management and integration
Data Analytics including dashboards
Partner with the business and IT teams to design and implement important decision support data and analytics utilizing our business intelligence platforms
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop financial models through benchmarking and process analysis
Analyze and report on current financial status and perform projections
Conduct thorough research of historical financial data
Perform monthly financial analysis and complete reporting packages and identify areas of improvement - variance analysis for prior period vs. actuals & budget on revenue, labor, and operating expenses, margin analysis, overhead expenses, headcount, and workforce
Prepare and lead the distribution of monthly key performance indicators (KPI's) to business units and management
Develop financial models to track new KPI's
Ensure data integrity in the ERP system
Maintain confidentiality of financial information
Support business operations on special projects
Various adhoc analysis
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of progressive financial/accounting experience required.
Minimum of a Bachelors' degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or related field
Advanced degree or other professional certification (CMA/CFA) preferred
Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem solving and organizational skills. Able to analyze, evaluate and move quickly to support rapid decision making
Experience working independently as well as collaboratively; effectively managing priorities while meeting hard deadlines
Team player with a strong customer-centric attitude
Strong financial acumen and analytics skills with a high degree of proficiency in data mining and forecasting model development
Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Microsoft Excel skills is a must (pivot tables, look-ups, index & match formulas, and ability manage large amounts of data)
Experience in data analysis and visualization techniques and tools, and ability to present financial data using detailed reports and charts
Well-organized and detail-oriented to handle in-depth, special projects.
