AutoCAD Drafter

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled AutoCAD Drafter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will utilize their expertise in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks, to create accurate and high-quality technical drawings. This role involves collaborating with engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure all designs meet industry standards and project specifications.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Use CAD software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks, to prepare and modify technical drawings.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to produce designs that meet project requirements.
• Create technical documents, including material lists and cost estimates, related to drawings.
• Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and maintain accuracy.
• Maintain and organize a library of standard drawing templates.
• Update existing drawings with new information and specifications.
• Analyze design sketches and specifications to produce precise technical drawings.
• Manage multiple projects, adhering to deadlines and prioritizing tasks effectively.

Skills and Competencies:

• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to create accurate drawings aligned with specifications.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Time Management: Ability to handle multiple projects with competing deadlines.
• Mathematical Proficiency: Advanced mathematical skills, including working with fractions and decimals in units of measure.
• Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with engineering practices and industry standards.

Qualifications:

• 2-year associate degree or a 1-year certificate program in computer-aided design and drafting (CAD).
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Architectural Design, Drafting, or a related field preferred.
• Must be capable of pushing, pulling, or lifting up to 55 lbs.
• Ability to work in various environments and sit at a computer monitor for extended periods.
• High aptitude for mathematics and logical reasoning, particularly with millimeters and inches.
• Willingness and ability to learn new software and programs.
