Job Title: Production Coordinator

Salary Range: $70,000 annually


Overview
The Production Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily shop operations and ensuring production workflows are executed efficiently to meet quality, delivery, and customer service objectives. This role serves as a key liaison across multiple departments, translating operational priorities into actionable production plans while maintaining visibility over work order status, materials, and timelines.
This position requires a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing or repair environment and values collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities Production Planning & Workflow Coordination

• Review work scopes, repair orders, and production requirements to accurately plan and prioritize workflow.
• Maintain and update a dynamic priority list to support production deadlines and service commitments.
• Generate production schedules and timelines for incoming and in-process work.
• Track daily work order status, including location, comments, priorities, and completion stages.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Coordinate closely with Inspection, Maintenance, Purchasing, Stockroom, and Customer Service teams to ensure alignment on production needs.
• Review inspection reports to schedule required repairs or services, including partial or outsourced work.
• Communicate proactively with internal stakeholders regarding parts availability, service delays, or work order changes.

Materials & Inventory Oversight

• Follow up with Purchasing on parts orders, delivery timelines, and required documentation to support production planning.
• Coordinate with the Stockroom to ensure complete kits and required materials are available prior to production start.
• Ensure parts returned to inventory are properly processed and removed from active work orders.

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all work orders, including parts required, outsourced services, and in-house repairs.
• Provide regular status updates and weekly production reports to support operational visibility and decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience in production coordination, manufacturing operations, or a similar role within a technical or industrial environment.
• Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Proficiency with production tracking systems and basic reporting tools.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
