A premium interior solutions provider serving high-end development projects that collaborates closely with developers, architects, interior designers, and homeowners to deliver tailored solutions is looking for a sales consultant. The Sales Consultant designs, sells, and promotes customized closet and storage solutions that align with each client's needs, style, and budget. This role blends strong design sensibility with consultative sales skills, guiding clients through the full process while consistently achieving sales goals and delivering a high-touch customer experience.
Responsibilities
Meet with clients in a showroom and/or on-site to assess storage needs, take measurements, and understand lifestyle requirements
Create customized designs using approved design software and tools
Recommend layouts, materials, finishes, and accessories based on client preferences, functionality, and budget
Prepare accurate drawings, measurements, and design proposals
Present design solutions clearly and confidently, addressing questions and guiding decision-making
Provide pricing, quotes, lead times, and projected installation timelines
Close sales and consistently meet or exceed individual and team sales targets
Maintain proactive communication with clients throughout design, ordering, production, and installation phases
Resolve customer concerns and post-installation issues professionally and promptly
Submit finalized designs and orders accurately for production and fulfillment
Coordinate with internal teams and installation partners to support smooth project execution
Review completed installations as needed to confirm quality standards and customer satisfaction
Maintain showroom displays, samples, and presentation areas in a polished, professional condition
Stay current on product lines, design trends, and internal standards
Participate in training, promotional initiatives, and special sales events
Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Sales, or a related field (preferred, not required)
Prior experience in sales, design, retail, or other customer-facing roles
Experience with custom home improvement strongly preferred
Proficiency with design software (CAD, 3D design tools, or comparable systems)
Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and closing ability
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
Ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Ability to stand and walk in a showroom setting for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry samples/materials (approximately 25-50 lbs as needed)
Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and take accurate measurements in client spaces
Bilingual in English and Spanish
