About the Opportunity:
This is a hands-on Contracts Managing role, focused on actively managing contracts, not managing people or setting legal strategy. The person in this role will be responsible for personally reviewing, redlining, negotiating, and managing contracts throughout their lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, structure, and attention to detail. Despite the title, this is not a senior Contracts Manager or attorney-level position. It is best suited for a contracts professional who enjoys doing the work, working directly in contract documents, and partnering closely with the business and external legal counsel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, redline, and negotiate a broad range of contracts, including NDAs, MSAs, service agreements, purchase orders, LOIs, and vendor contracts.
• Personally review, redline, and edit contracts using track changes, including MSAs, supplier agreements, service agreements, NDAs, SOWs, and amendments
• Manage the full contract lifecycle, from intake and drafting through execution, amendments, renewals, and close-out
• Redline and negotiate key contract clauses such as indemnification, liability, insurance, termination, warranties, force majeure, and governing law
• Work directly with internal stakeholders (Procurement, Operations, Finance, IT) and external legal counsel
• Ensure contracts are clear, accurate, compliant, and well-documented
• Maintain organized contract records and ensure proper version control within the contract management system
• Monitor contract obligations, renewals, and key milestones
• Support process improvement and adoption of contract management tools (CLM)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, English, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years of hands-on contracts experience (years are flexible; experience depth matters more than title)
• Demonstrated experience personally redlining and editing contracts, not just coordinating or supporting
• Strong comfort working directly with legal language and contract clauses
• Background in manufacturing, industrial, or supplier-driven environments preferred
• Extremely detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills
• Clear, structured communicator who values accuracy and logic
• Tech-savvy, with experience using CLM systems, SharePoint, DocuSign, SAP, or similar tools
