Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in West London, are looking for an experienced Senior Lawyer (Child Care) to join their team and play a crucial role in their Childcare Operations. 

Position: Senior Lawyer (Child Care)
Rate: £55-60 p/h umbrella
Contract Duration: 4 Months with possible extension
Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Job Responsibilities:

• To provide high level input to the Children and Young People department policies and help develop and implement the Corporate Strategy
• To contribute and assist towards the running of Legal Services as required and to provide general supervision guidance and training to lawyers within the team.
• Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and all employees are required to act in such a way that at all times safeguards the health and well being of children and vulnerable adults.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• Previous experience working in a Senior Childcare Lawyer or a similar role.
• Admitted Solicitor, Barrister or FILEX
• Experience of attending court as a Lawyer (County Court) in the County Court, Magistrates Court, Family Court and Crown Court, including all hearings up to trial.
