Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Essex, are looking for an experienced Executive Liaison Support Supervisor to join their team and play a crucial role in their Legal and Democracy operations.  

Position: Executive Liaison Support Supervisor
Rate: £28.50 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35) 
Contract Duration: Temp (Nov 2027) Possible Extension
Working Arrangement: Hybrid 

Job Purpose:

• This post holder will be based within the Legal and Democracy Support Team, supervising the teams providing specialist high quality administrative and clerical support to Executive Liaison Officers, this will include support for the Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Leader of the Council.

Job Responsibilities:

• Act as a go-to resource for expertise in specialist support services to the Council’s executive and provide to support for the Mayor, Deputy Mayor of the Council.
• Ensure that all duties of the support and specialist support officers are undertaken to a high standard, managing the allocation of resources within the Support Team ensuring that this is allocated according to priorities which may change from time to time, organising busy periods and diary management to ensure that the team is covered to take ad-hoc requests in addition to the standard workload.
• To maintain a general awareness of local government functions and governance arrangements to ensure informed support and guidance can be provided.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• Demonstrable experience of providing high quality administrative support at a senior level.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present a range of complex and detailed financial and other issues to a diverse audience.
