This role may also be known as: Travel Sales Consultant | Vacation Consultant | Leisure Travel Advisor | Destination Travel Specialist.
If you have ever wanted to turn your love of Canada and your sales talent into a career that actually rewards you — this is the one to pay attention to.
This is not a call centre job. This is not a transactional booking role. This is a consultative, relationship-driven position where you are the expert your clients trust to design the Canadian vacation of their lifetime. You will have the autonomy to build your own book of business, create fully customized itineraries, and close meaningful sales — all while working with a team that genuinely cares about quality and client experience.
The earning potential is real. This role can take a strong performer to $150,000 per year, with a guaranteed base of $50,000 giving you the runway to build your pipeline and your confidence. If you are driven, detail-oriented, and energized by selling something you believe in — this is worth a serious conversation.
Why This Opportunity Is Different
Most travel sales roles ask you to be a booking agent. This one asks you to be a trusted advisor. You will be co-creating personalized Canadian vacation experiences with guests who are excited, ready to invest, and looking for someone knowledgeable to guide them. There is no cold calling here — you are working with inbound leads, warm inquiries, and consultation appointments booked in advance.
You will be part of a collaborative team that includes fellow Vacation Advisors and a dedicated Hospitality and Product team — people who are invested in helping you succeed and stay sharp on the product. Leadership is accessible, the culture is relationship-driven, and the work is genuinely meaningful. Canada as a destination sells itself when the right person is telling the story.
The work model is designed for flexibility. Candidates in Calgary and Victoria work fully remote. Western Canada locations outside of Vancouver are also remote. Vancouver candidates work in a hybrid arrangement. You will be equipped with the tools, the training, and the product knowledge to do the job well from wherever you are based.
What You'll Be Doing
- Guide clients through a consultative sales cycle, co-creating personalized Canadian vacation packages from initial inquiry through to close
- Manage and prioritize a busy inbound sales funnel — calls, live chat, email inquiries, web leads, and scheduled Zoom consultations
- Build and maintain an active pipeline using Salesforce, keeping your funnel clean and your follow-ups timely
- Create and sell fully custom itineraries tailored to each client's needs, preferences, and budget Book all trip components, generate booking forms, collect deposits, and maintain complete and accurate client files
- Consistently meet and exceed monthly and quarterly individual and team sales targets
- Stay sharp on the full product portfolio and position yourself as the go-to expert for Canadian travel
What We're Looking For - Minimum 3 years of travel sales or consultative sales experience — this is required
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding monthly sales targets
- Strong command of a consultative sales approach — you advise, you don't just pitch
- Exceptional ability to manage a high-volume funnel without losing momentum or detail
- Comfortable with shift work including evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook for calendar management and email communication
- Outstanding communication skills — curious, confident, and genuinely great at listening
- Energetic and resilient — you handle objections well and you ask for the sale High attention to detail in client file management and booking accuracy Previous experience in premium leisure travel sales is a strong asset
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Zoom, and Calendly is an advantage
