Lead high-profile municipal and capital infrastructure projects that shape communities across British Columbia for generations to come.
Senior Project Manager – Municipal & Capital Infrastructure Projects
You have the experience to lead complex, multi-stakeholder infrastructure projects. You know how to manage scope, budget, and schedule while keeping clients, consultants, and contractors aligned. You've been doing the work for years — now the question is whether your current role is giving you the platform to do it at the level you're capable of. This one does.
We're recruiting a Senior Project Manager to join a growing team delivering municipal, civic, and institutional capital projects across British Columbia, including Vancouver Island and surrounding regions. You'll lead projects from planning through construction — libraries, fire stations, recreation centres, student housing, academic facilities, and major public infrastructure — while serving as a trusted strategic advisor to municipalities, Crown corporations, and public agencies.
This isn't a role where you're executing someone else's plan. You'll be shaping it.
Why This Opportunity Is Different
Most senior PM roles put you in front of one client type, one project category, or one delivery model. This one gives you something rare: a genuinely diverse project portfolio across some of the most meaningful capital work being done in British Columbia right now. Civic buildings. Student housing. Municipal infrastructure. Institutional facilities. The kind of projects that get used, valued, and talked about for decades.
You'll have direct access to senior leadership and the latitude to influence how the practice grows on Vancouver Island and beyond. The team is collaborative and experienced — engineers, architects, infrastructure specialists, and project leaders who take mentorship seriously and invest in the people around them. And if business development is part of what drives you, there's a clear path to play a meaningful role in client relationships, proposals, and growing the regional footprint.
This is also a financially stable, purpose-driven organization with a strong delivery track record. You're not walking into chaos — you're walking into a platform built for someone ready to lead at a higher level.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead municipal, civic, and capital infrastructure projects from concept through completion Serve as the primary point of contact and strategic advisor for public-sector clients including municipalities, educational institutions, and Crown corporations Manage project scope, budget, schedule, procurement, and risk across the full project lifecycle Coordinate consultants, contractors, regulatory agencies, and multi-stakeholder groups Chair project meetings and lead governance reporting processes Provide strategic guidance on delivery approach and risk mitigation Monitor financial performance, forecasts, and cost controls Resolve complex commercial, technical, and stakeholder-related challenges Contribute to business development, client presentations, and project pursuits Mentor junior project management professionals and strengthen the team around you
What We're Looking For
8 or more years of progressive project management experience in municipal, civic, institutional, or major infrastructure projects Demonstrated success leading large, complex, multi-stakeholder capital projects from planning through construction Strong expertise in project budgeting, forecasting, financial management, contract administration, and procurement Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline — equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered PMP, P.Eng., or other relevant professional designations are an asset Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships with senior public-sector decision-makers Exceptional communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders A natural leader who thrives in complex environments requiring diplomacy, strategic thinking, and collaboration Passion for mentoring team members and contributing to a high-performance culture
Compensation & Work Model
Base salary: $115,000 to $145,000 CAD, determined by experience, qualifications, and location Annual bonus opportunities Flexible work environment Comprehensive onboarding, professional development, and formal mentorship programs Paid volunteer day Inclusive, collaborative workplace culture
Location & Travel
Victoria, British Columbia. Projects span Vancouver Island and across the province. Periodic travel to client sites is required.
