As Terminal Manager, you'll own the success of an entire delivery hub—from warehouse operations and delivery execution to contractor partnerships, financial performance, and customer satisfaction. What You'll Be Doing - Lead all terminal operations with accountability for safety, service, quality, and cost
- Recruit, develop, and manage independent contractor delivery teams
- Drive operational excellence through KPI monitoring and continuous improvement
- Oversee inbound freight, staging, deluxing, repairs, returns, claims, and outbound delivery execution
- Ensure next-day delivery readiness through auditing and operational planning
- Maintain high levels of on-time delivery performance and customer satisfaction
- Conduct ride-alongs and field observations to coach teams and improve service quality
- Monitor routes and delivery execution in real time
- Develop labor plans that align staffing with operational demand
- Manage budgets, productivity, utilization, and profitability targets
- Create a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
- Partner cross-functionally to resolve operational challenges and improve performance
What We're Looking For Required Experience - 5+ years of final mile or last mile delivery leadership experience
- 3–5+ years managing distribution, transportation, or logistics operations
- Experience recruiting, developing, and managing independent contractor delivery teams
- Proven success leading large teams in fast-paced environments
- Experience managing operational KPIs and performance metrics
Preferred Experience - Furniture delivery experience strongly preferred
- Home delivery or white-glove delivery experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field
Technical Skills - Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and reporting tools
- Operational performance analysis and KPI management
- Budget management and financial oversight

Compensation & Work Model - Salary: $80,000 – $85,000 annually

Location & Travel Location:
Ashland, Virginia
This position is primarily onsite and requires regular presence in both warehouse and field operations. Weekly ride-alongs with delivery teams are expected to support coaching, quality assurance, and customer satisfaction initiatives.
Physical Requirements - Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs with assistance
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Flexibility for occasional extended hours and weekend support as business needs require
