You'll lead experienced teams, work closely with independent contractors, drive continuous process improvements, and partner with senior leadership to improve service, quality, safety, and profitability. Your ideas and leadership will directly impact customer satisfaction and business performance.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead daily final-mile terminal operations.
- Coach, mentor, and develop warehouse and delivery associates.
- Recruit, manage, and build strong partnerships with independent contractors.
- Drive improvements in safety, service, quality, and cost performance.
- Monitor operational KPIs and implement continuous improvements.
- Oversee inbound and outbound freight, staging, repairs, returns, and claims.
- Ensure next-day deliveries are properly audited and prepared.
- Maintain high levels of on-time delivery performance while minimizing damages.
- Conduct ride-alongs with delivery teams to coach performance and improve customer experience.
- Monitor routes throughout the day and proactively resolve issues.
- Manage labor planning, staffing, scheduling, and peak season operations.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and safety standards.
- Manage operating budgets and achieve financial objectives.
What We're Looking For - Minimum 5 years of Final Mile/Last Mile delivery management experience.
- 3–5+ years leading distribution, warehouse, or transportation operations.
- Furniture delivery experience strongly preferred.
- Experience recruiting and managing independent contractors.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
- Experience using KPIs to improve operational performance.
- Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Highly organized with exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field preferred.
Compensation & Work Model - Salary: $95,000–$105,000
