Own the floor. Lead the team. Deliver the experience.
Terminal Manager
This role may also be known as: Hub Manager, Distribution Operations Manager, Logistics Operations Manager, Last Mile Hub Manager
You will be stepping into a leadership role where your decisions shape the daily experience of every customer and the daily performance of every person on your team. This is a real operations seat — not a title with no authority.
You will be joining a nationally recognized and rapidly growing organization in the final mile delivery space. They operate multiple locations across the country and have built a culture around delivering a five-star experience every single time. They are growing because they are doing it right.
This Terminal Manager role gives you end-to-end ownership of hub operations: inbound, outbound, staging, deluxing, returns, and claims. You will lead hourly associates and manage a network of independent contractors. You will ride with your teams in the field, monitor routes in real time, and be the standard-setter for safety, quality, and performance at your terminal.
Why This Opportunity Is Different
Most operations management roles are layers deep in a corporate structure. This one is not. You report to leadership that is engaged and accessible, and your impact is visible. If you drive results, people know it. You are not managing a process in a vacuum — you are building something. The compensation is competitive at $85,000–$90,000 and the benefits package is strong. Beyond the pay, the growth trajectory of this organization means there is more runway here than most terminal roles in the market right now.
What You Will Be Doing
Guide and develop a team of hourly associates through coaching, mentoring, and performance accountability Manage, recruit, and oversee a network of independent contractors with a focus on profitability and compliance Own hub inbound and outbound operations including staging, deluxing, repairing, returns, and claims Leverage KPIs to drive continuous improvements across safety, service, quality, and cost Execute weekly field ride-behinds and active route monitoring to ensure service standards and team performance Build and manage daily, weekly, monthly, and peak-season labor schedules Maintain and enforce health and safety standards and build a culture of accountability Communicate policies and directives clearly to a large and diverse team Achieve financial plans and budget objectives tied to your terminal
What We Are Looking For
Minimum five years of final mile or last mile delivery experience Three to five years in a distribution management or operations leadership role Direct experience managing and recruiting independent contractors Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven interpersonal and customer relations capability Highly organized, process-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook Experience with Warehouse Management Systems Ability to perform physical duties including lifting up to 75 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds with assistance Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends when the operation requires it Experience in furniture or white-glove delivery is a strong asset Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management or a related field preferred
