Health & Safety Auditor
Various sites across the UK – can be based in Midlands or North of England
£40,000 + car/car allowance + bonus

Fourblue are working on behalf of a well-established and expanding company in the utilities sector for a Health & Safety Auditor to join their growing HSQE team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to safety compliance.

Responsibilities of the Health & Safety Auditor:

• Conducting thorough health and safety audits across multiple operational sites, regions, and depots
• Auditing key compliance areas including plant and equipment, excavation safety controls (such as CAT scanning and Permit to Dig), training records, competency certification, and vehicle compliance
• Assisting with site-specific risk assessments when required
• Monitoring and tracking the close-out of non-conformances identified in both internal and external audits
• Collaborating with site teams, managers, and subcontractors to ensure timely resolution of safety issues
• Maintaining accurate audit records, action logs, and management reports
• Supporting the company’s zero accident, incident, and defect strategy
• Promoting a strong safety culture through engagement with operational teams
• Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 management systems

Criteria of the Health & Safety Auditor:

• Proven auditing experience within the construction or utilities sectors
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, regulations, and industry best practices
• Experience or background working across multiple utilities (gas, water, electric) is desirable
• Confidence in reviewing compliance records, certifications, and training documentation
• Ability to engage effectively with site operatives and management to gather and verify evidence
• Familiarity with ISO management systems (9001, 14001, 45001).
• NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) is essential
