Business Development Manager
Remote-based with travel across the North West

Fourblue are working with a high-performing Independent Connection Provider (ICP) delivering integrated utility infrastructure for electricity, gas, and clean water across a wide range of residential, commercial, and renewable developments. As they continue to expand, they’re now seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth across the North West region.
This isn’t a typical sales role. It’s about building lasting partnerships, influencing strategy, and helping to shape the future of infrastructure delivery, working within a collaborative, values-led business that puts people first and backs them to succeed.
Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager:
- Lead growth across the North West, generating new opportunities across residential, commercial, and renewable sectors (including EV, battery storage, and solar)
- Build strong relationships with developers, contractors, and consultants, offering tailored utility solutions that deliver real value
- Qualify leads, build a healthy pipeline, and work cross-functionally to secure commercially viable contracts
- Provide market intelligence and insight to shape regional strategy and stay ahead of industry trends
- Collaborate with internal teams across pre-construction, design, and delivery to ensure seamless handovers and excellent client experience
Criteria of the Business Development Manager: - Proven experience in business development, client management, or commercial roles in utilities, construction, or infrastructure
- Track record of securing and growing B2B accounts and navigating long-term sales cycles
- A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, field-based environment
- Bonus if you have experience with ICPs, DNOs/IDNOs, or multi-utility connections
