£70,000 + EV car or car allowance + commission

Are you a dynamic deal-maker who thrives on building relationships and driving growth?

We’re on the hunt for a passionate and results-driven Business Development Manager to join a forward-thinking civil engineering team working across major multi-utility I&C and Major projects. 

As a key player in the business development team, you’ll be responsible for turning high-quality enquiries into successful projects. Working closely with the Head of Business Development and collaborating with teams across the business, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the growth strategy and building long-term client relationships.

Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager:

• Identifying and converting new business opportunities into tangible project wins
• Maintaining an accurate and well-managed sales pipeline
• Tracking, reporting and analysing client engagement and project outcomes
• Collaborating with the pre-construction and delivery teams to ensure winning proposals
• Managing your schedule to maximise efficiency and visibility across projects
• Providing updates on wins, losses, and key sales activities
• Ensuring quotes are prioritised, competitive, and aligned with client expectations
• Reviewing performance against targets and setting action plans to stay ahead
• Attending strategic sales events across regions

Who We’re Looking For:
You’ll be confident, commercially astute, and proactive in your approach. You love meeting people, understanding what makes them tick, and delivering tailored solutions that bring real value. A strong communicator with an eye for detail, you’re comfortable juggling multiple priorities without losing sight of the bigger picture.

• Proven experience in business development or sales working with an ICP, IDNO or Utility contractor
• A track record of building successful relationships and closing high-value deals
• Excellent organisational and reporting skills
• Confidence working across all levels of a business, from on-site teams to executive leadership
