Electrical Engineer – ICP/Renewable Energy
Glasgow & Bristol 
£65,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance or EV car

Fourblue are supporting a leading UK-based high-voltage electrical engineering company that’s playing a key role in the renewable energy transition. With a strong project pipeline and a growing team, they’re now looking for an Electrical Engineer to join them in Glasgow.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on major grid connection and renewable energy projects – including wind, solar, and BESS – and make a genuine impact from day one.

You’ll be supporting the delivery of complex HV projects across the UK, managing electrical design interfaces, procurement, and quality processes while working alongside a highly experienced engineering team.

Responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer:

• Producing electrical designs including layouts, single line diagrams, cable schedules, and testing procedures
• Overseeing supplier engagement, technical procurement, and factory acceptance testing
• Supporting commissioning activities and helping to drive high safety and quality standards on site
• Working towards HV authorisation if not already held, with full training provided
• Contributing to a growing and employee-focused business that values your ideas and input

Criteria for the Electrical Engineer:

• Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
• 3+ years' experience in HV electrical engineering – ideally within renewables or utilities
• Strong knowledge of 11kV and 33kV systems, electrical design, and technical standards
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to travel and stay away when required
