Are you eager to land a brand new permanent role? Our client, a local authority in North West London, are looking for an experienced Assistant Building Surveyor to join their team and play a crucial role in their construction operations.  

Position: Assistant Building Surveyor
Location: North West London
Salary: £39,276 per annum 

Duties:

• Support the delivery of building surveying services across the organisation’s managed estate.
• Assisting senior surveyors with inspections, surveys, project delivery, statutory compliance, design, tendering and contract management.
• Support in maintaining and safeguarding the managed estate including corporate buildings, community assets, schools, libraries and any other asset types.
• Undertaking condition assessments, contributing to feasibility studies, supporting project design and delivery.
• Support the production of schedules of condition, defect reports, and maintenance recommendations.

Job Requirements:

• Enrolment to MRICS Building Surveying pathway or similar professional membership.
• Degree (or equivalent) in Building Surveying, Building Studies, Construction, or a related built‑environment discipline.
• Experience conducting site work, inspections, or building surveying tasks.
• Project management and contract administration experience.
• Experience gained through university projects, placements, internships, or early employment in surveying, construction, or property.
