Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Client based in South Gloucestershire, are looking for an experienced Helpdesk Technician to join their team and play a crucial role within their IT Operations.  

Position: (ICT) Helpdesk Technician
Rate: £21.65 per hour (Umbrella) 
Contract Duration: Temp (Jan 2027) Possible Extension  
Working Arrangement: Fully Office Based 

Purpose:

• To act as the primary point of contact for all IT and communications incidents, service requests, and queries, ensuring issues are logged, triaged, investigated, and resolved quickly in line with agreed Service Level Agreements. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Act as a first point of contact for IT incidents, service requests, problems and general technical enquiries. Log, categorise, prioritise, assign and manage tickets accurately, using agreed procedures and service levels.
• Halo ITSM: Log and manage incidents, service requests and problems; record actions and resolutions; communicate with customers; route work; maintain knowledge; and monitor service levels and performance.
• Support major incidents and service outages by logging reports, gathering impact information, communicating updates and following escalation procedures.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, or comparable practical experience.
• Practical experience of Halo ITSM or a comparable IT service management platform.
• Working knowledge of Windows devices, Microsoft 365, SCCM, Azure, Intune, Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
