Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority based in North London, are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Officer to join their team and play a crucial role within their Education & Schools Finance Team. 

Position: Senior Finance Officer
Salary: £44.184-£47,262 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Purpose:

• Responsible for leading on specific service menu items and delivering to a high standard the full menu of finance service activities for the assigned team, including but not limited to: reviewing and challenging budget decisions, corporate accounting and financial planning, supporting capital and project financial planning and providing financial activity support to services across the Council. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide financial support and advice to education and schools services.
• Co-ordinate financial returns, reconciliations and year-end processes.
• Support budget monitoring, forecasting and financial reporting.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation - Essential. 
• DBS Clearance. 
• CCAB or CIMA part or fully qualified Accountant - Desirable. 
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
