Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a local authority in Essex, are looking for an experienced Insurance & Risk Manager to join their team and play a crucial role in their insurance operations.  

Position: Insurance & Risk Manager
Location: Essex 
Rate: £40 p/h (Umbrella)
Contract: 2-3 months (Possible Extension)

Duties:

• Provide professional management of the insurance and risk function and advice on all insurance related matters.
• Manage the procurement of the Councils Insurance contracts.
• Maintain the Council’s corporate risk register and work with Managers to mitigate and reduce risk.
• Administer and manage insurance policies and manage annual renewal of the insurance contracts.

Job Requirements:

• Senior insurance experience in an organisation of comparable scale and complexity. Local government experience is desirable.
• Experience leading and negotiating significant insurance tenders and renewals.
• A demonstrable track record of leading, motivating and inspiring colleagues, partners and members.
• Management of strategic level meetings.
• Evidence of successfully developing services and improvements.
