Aerospace Inspector – FAI / QA 

Location: Enfield, CT
Type of Work: In Office (100% Onsite)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Type of Contract: Temporary 12 Months (with potential extension based on performance)
Pay Rate: $20/h - 26

Description:
We are seeking a motivated Aerospace Dimensional Inspector – FAI / QA  to support inspection, documentation, and quality control activities in a fast-paced aerospace environment. This role focuses on First Article Inspections, identifying non-conformances, and ensuring compliance with customer and industry requirements.
  

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and complete customer documentation
• Review engineering drawings and specifications
• Identify non-conformances and support root-cause investigations
• Use precision tools: calipers, micrometers, comparators, pin/ring gages
• Maintain inspection records and support audit readiness
• Assist with customer portals and quality documentation

Requirements:

• 2+ years of relevant aerospace inspection experience
• Hands-on experience with FAI and QA procedures.
• Familiarity with AS9100 standards and quality systems.
• Proficient with tools like Net-Inspect (preferred).
• Ability to interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
• Basic computer skills including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Fluency in English (verbal and written).
• Understanding of Six Sigma / Lean principles is a plus.
• Leadership or mentoring experience is a bonus.
