Business Development Representative – Health & Life Insurance | South Florida

Type: Full-Time | Regional Travel Required (Up to 75%)
Contract: Direct Hire | Permanent
Compensation: $70,000 – $75,000 Base Salary + Strong Bonus & Uncapped Commissions 

Description:
We are seeking a driven, persuasive, and highly motivated Business Development Representative to lead regional growth efforts across South Florida. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building long-term partnerships and is passionate about supporting agents and agencies in the health and life insurance industry.
This is a field-based position focused on identifying, engaging, and onboarding top-performing insurance agents and agencies. You will act as a key representative of an insurance distribution organization that provides competitive commissions, operational support, and scalable solutions to help partners grow their book of business.

Key duties include:

• Recruit high-performing health and life insurance agencies and agents across the assigned region.
• Travel regularly to meet with prospects and build strong business relationships.
• Present a clear value proposition focused on growth, support, and earnings
• Support partners through onboarding and ongoing engagement
• Achieve regional performance and growth goals

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in sales or business development within the insurance industry (health and/or life) - Candidates without insurance experience will not be considered.
• Strong knowledge of ACA, health, and life insurance products is required.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish is required..
• Existing network of agencies, agents, and producers in the Florida market is a strong advantage.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the region (up to 75%).
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Self-starter with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance goals.
• Strong organizational skills and consistent follow-up discipline.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable working in a remote, field-based environment.
