Senior Quality Inspector (FAI)

Location: Enfield, CT
Type: 100% Onsite
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Type of Contract: 12 Months - Temp 
Pay Rate: $37/h - $40/h OTN

Position Summary:
 
We are hiring a Senior Aerospace Quality Inspector to lead complex inspections, support failure analysis, and contribute to corrective/preventive actions. This role requires strong experience with FAI, customer quality requirements, and advanced inspection tools.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and perform complex FAIs for customer submission
• Review technical drawings and validate compliance
• Investigate non-conformances and support root-cause documentation
• Use advanced inspection tools: calipers, micrometers, ring/pin gages, comparators
• Manage customer portals (Net-Inspect preferred)
• Support internal audits and quality system compliance
• Collaborate with engineering and production leadership
• Mentor junior inspectors as needed

Basic Qualifications:

• 4–6+ years of aerospace/defense inspection experience
• Strong background in FAI, NCRs, and QA documentation
• Working knowledge of AS9100 requirements
• Experience with customer portals (Net-Inspect preferred)
• Blueprint interpretation and measurement skills
• English fluency (reading, writing, verbal)
• Lean/Six Sigma exposure is a plus
• Leadership or team-lead experience is a bonus

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency with Net-Inspect.
• Working knowledge of Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing principles.
• 1-3 years of supervisory experience (preferred but not required).
