ABOUT POSITION:
- We’re looking for a CI Mechanical Engineering Intern.
- Our host company offers meaningful work experience, strong supervision, supportive work environment, and is planning to offer permanent employment for the suitable candidate.
ABOUT YOU: You must:
- be studying a relevant degree qualification or a recent graduate/skilled migrant.
- Pursue or complete a degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- have strong communication and teamwork skills.
- have basic understanding of Continuous Improvement principles (preferred).
- be proficienct in computer operations and relevant software.
- work on enhancing operational efficiency by collaborating with various departments and external stakeholders.
- be able to work at least 3 days per week.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Project Collaboration:
Partner with the Engineering Department for technical project support.
Coordinate with Manufacturing and Production teams to implement and monitor improvements.
2. ICT Support:
Work with the ICT department to configure or adjust computer settings as needed.
3. Supplier and Contractor Management:
Communicate with contractors from supplier and service companies.
Collaborate with the Supply team to manage material procurement and supplier relationships.
4. Research & Development (R&D) Collaboration:
Gather and analyze product information from the R&D team, particularly on Jason Windows products.
5. Resource Coordination:
Ensure resources and materials are procured and managed efficiently with support from the Supply Chain team.
LEARNING OUTCOMES: You could be provided work experience in the following areas:
- Gain practical experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement operational improvements.
- Develop a deeper understanding of Continuous Improvement principles and methodologies.
- Enhance technical skills through hands-on involvement in engineering and production processes.
- Build competency in resource management and supplier relationship management.
- Improve communication and project management skills through coordination with internal departments and external contractors.
- Acquire knowledge of product development and manufacturing insights, particularly with Jason Windows products.
- Learn to adapt and troubleshoot technical issues with ICT support in a professional setting.
LOCATION:The host company is located at Perth.
