Il Chiosco is now looking for an experienced Cook to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of menu items including traditional Italian and pizzeria-style dishes.
• Ensure all meals are prepared to a high standard of quality, presentation, and taste.
• Assist in the planning and development of menu items and daily specials.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, following food safety and hygiene standards.
• Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
• Coordinate with other kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely service during peak periods.
• Comply with health, safety, and sanitation procedures in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Ensure consistent portion sizes and reduce food waste through careful preparation.

About You:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cook;.
• Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, especially pizza preparation and wood-fired techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a high standard of service.
• Strong team player with good communication skills.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen operations  

Job type: Permanent/full-time
Salary: $75,000 - $85,000
