Key Responsibilities:
Preparing, baking, and finishing a variety of pastries, cakes, desserts, breads, and other baked products
Measuring, mixing, and preparing ingredients in accordance with recipes and quality standards
Monitoring baking times and temperatures to ensure product consistency and quality
Decorating and presenting pastry products to a high standard
Assisting in the development of seasonal desserts and pastry menu items
Ensuring ingredients are correctly stored, labelled, and rotated
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the pastry section in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards
Assisting with stock control, ordering ingredients, and minimising waste
Operating and maintaining baking equipment safely and efficiently
Working collaboratively with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure efficient service
About You:
At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Pastrycook or in a similar role
Strong knowledge of pastry preparation, baking techniques, and dessert production
Ability to prepare a wide variety of pastries and baked goods to a high standard
Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety requirements
Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Type: Permanent / Full-time
Salary:
$79,000 - $95,000 per annum
