Located in Woolwich NSW, Cucinetta is an Italian restaurant currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Chef with a strong pastry specialisation to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing, cooking and presenting a variety of Italian dishes, desserts and baked products in line with menu requirements and quality standards
• Leading the preparation and production of pastries, cakes, desserts and other baked goods
• Assisting with planning and developing menu items, including seasonal desserts and daily specials
• Monitoring the quality and consistency of raw ingredients and finished products
• Maintaining high standards of food preparation, portion control and presentation across the kitchen
• Ensuring kitchen and pastry preparation areas are kept clean, organised and compliant with food safety and hygiene standards
• Checking stock levels, rotating ingredients correctly and assisting with ordering kitchen and pastry supplies
• Operating and maintaining baking equipment safely and efficiently
• Following workplace health and safety procedures at all times within the kitchen
• Working collaboratively with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure efficient service during busy periods

About You:

• At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Chef, including experience in pastry and dessert preparation
• Sound knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, baking methods and pastry production
• Ability to prepare a wide variety of desserts, pastries and baked products to a consistently high standard
• Good understanding of food safety, sanitation and workplace hygiene requirements
• Strong attention to detail, creativity and commitment to product quality
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Type: Permanent / Full-time

Salary: $79,000 - $95,000 per annum
