The Organisation
Our client is a large Queensland State Government department located in the Brisbane CBD. The procurement function works collaboratively with internal stakeholders and suppliers to support ethical, transparent and high-quality outcomes. The department is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Officer who can step in and provide immediate support.

The Position
Key responsibilities will be largely procurement-based with some operational support. This will include: 

• Manage end-to-end procurement sourcing activities in line with Queensland Government Procurement Frameworks
• Maintain high ethical standards and represent the department professionally when communicating with suppliers
• Liaise confidently with internal stakeholders across multiple business units
• Ensure documentation and procurement activities comply with internal guidelines and relevant legislation
• Provide procurement support in relation to professional services needed by the government department 
• Collaborate with the broader procurement team and contribute to a supportive team culture

Ideal Experience:

• Prior procurement experience within Queensland State Government 
• Demonstrated end-to-end sourcing capability (mandatory)
• Strong stakeholder and supplier communication skills
• A calm, easygoing and adaptable working style suited to a fast-moving team
• The ability to work autonomously and pick up processes quickly
• High levels of integrity and ethical decision-making
