My client is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join their dynamic team. Reporting to the Bookkeeping Manager, the Senior Payroll Officer will be responsible for processing and managing high-volume payroll using Employment Hero, Xero, Tanda, Deputy and MYOB, while ensuring compliance with the Children's Services Award and the Educational Services (Teachers) Award and supporting the overall efficiency of the payroll function.

This role involves accurately processing employee entitlements, resolving payroll queries, and ensuring payroll is processed in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Preparing and processing the weekly/fortnightly or monthly payrolls end to end for clients - permanent and casual staff
• Maintain and update employee personal records
• Providing advice on payroll related queries
• Preparation and Submission of payroll tax, PAYG, Workers Compensation and other compliance returns
• Payroll Reconciliations
• Handle end-to-end payroll processing, including month-end reconciliations and termination calculations with assistance of broader accounts team
• Maintain PPL registers across multiple companies
• Provide Workcover data as required

  Requirements/Qualifications:

• 2+ years' experience with complex payroll in a large organisation
• Experience with Employment Hero is highly desirable
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Proven experience in the ability to manage competing priorities
• Good knowledge of Payroll Tax, Superannuation requirements, Award interpretation and structures is desirable
