About the Organisation
Join one of the Queensland Government's departments as they continue on a new project aimed at improving the lives of Queenslanders. This innovative and highly important department is looking to bring on a Project Manager for a 6 month contract to support their dynamic and fast-paced team. 

About the Role
This is a 6 month contract role that has the high potential to extend. The day to day tasks of this role will involve: 

• Provide key input into scoping, planning and delivery of a key government infastructure program
• Engage and collaborate with local councils, as well as community members
• Effective management of internal and external stakeholders for deliverable outcomes
• Proactively identify risks and develop strategies to mitigate such risks and exercise influence to achieve results
• Prepare reports, submissions, briefing notes, ministerial correspondence and policy documentation as required
• Identify opportunities to modify practices, procedures, processes, technologies, and strategies to achieve the objectives of the program

About You
In order to be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will: 

• Have relevant industry qualifications 
• A minimum of 5 years experience in the construction industry 
• Proven project management experience 
• Ability to lead strategically- think critically and act on the broader purpose of the system
• Ability to lead change in complex environments- embrace change and lead with focus and optimism in an environment of complexity and ambiguity
