SERVICE / DIAGNOSTIC TECHNICIAN
Location: Grange-over-Sands, Cumbria
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Service / Diagnostic Technician to join a professional and friendly team based in Grange-over-Sands.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Vehicle Technician looking to work in a modern workshop environment, carrying out servicing, repairs and advanced diagnostics across a wide range of vehicles, including Hybrid and Electric Vehicles.
The Role
As a Service / Diagnostic Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Carrying out vehicle servicing and routine maintenance.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
• Carrying out vehicle diagnostics using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
• Working on a wide range of vehicles, including EV and Hybrid vehicles.
• Completing repairs to a high standard and within required timescales.
• Completing all relevant paperwork accurately and to the required standards.
• Ensuring all work meets health, safety and manufacturer requirements.
• Providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional approach.
• Working effectively as part of a busy and supportive Service team.

About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
• Strong experience within a workshop or dealership environment.
• Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience with servicing and mechanical repairs.
• Knowledge of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles would be advantageous.
• MOT Licence advantageous but not essential.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• A professional, friendly and customer-focused approach.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A genuine desire to develop technical skills through ongoing training.
