Motor Vehicle Technician

�� Full-time | Permanent
�� Monday to Friday - occasional Saturdays
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Motor Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join a growing automotive dealership and aftersales service centre in the Loughborough area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician looking to work in a busy workshop, carrying out servicing, diagnostics, repairs and more advanced engine work across a variety of vehicle makes and models.
Key Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, diagnostics and repairs across a range of vehicles
• Conduct vehicle health checks and identify potential issues
• Diagnose faults using modern diagnostic equipment
• Interpret fault codes and identify the cause of vehicle problems
• Carry out mechanical repairs including brakes, suspension, exhausts and engine components
• Undertake engine repairs and potential rebuilds
• Complete all work accurately and efficiently
• Maintain workshop tools and equipment
• Keep clear and accurate job records
• Work to high standards of workmanship and customer service

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic or similar
• Minimum of 1 year's experience preferred
• Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic ability
• Good problem-solving skills
• Relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance
• Full UK driving licence preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail
• Commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
