Service Advisor
Location: Cambridge, CB4 1SR
Salary: £30,000-£33,000 per year
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm, with a 30-minute break and 1 in 3 Saturdays
The Opportunity
We are recruiting a customer-focused Service Advisor to join a busy, modern automotive dealership in Cambridge.

As a Service Advisor, you will be the main point of contact for customers throughout their vehicle servicing and repair journey, ensuring they receive excellent customer service while helping the workshop operate efficiently.
Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and manage vehicle service and repair bookings.
• Act as the main point of contact for customers throughout the service process.
• Discuss customer concerns and accurately record vehicle faults and repair requirements.
• Liaise with technicians and the Service Manager to monitor workshop progress.
• Keep customers informed of repair progress, costs and completion times.
• Explain recommended additional work and obtain customer authorisation before proceeding.
• Prepare service documentation, estimates and invoices accurately.
• Ensure customer expectations are managed professionally and effectively.
• Handle customer queries and resolve issues in a calm and professional manner.
• Maintain accurate records and follow dealership procedures.
• Help ensure vehicles are completed and ready for collection on time.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Service Advisor or automotive customer service role is desirable.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple bookings and priorities.
• A professional, friendly and customer-focused approach.
• Good attention to detail and accurate administrative skills.
• Ability to work effectively with workshop technicians and management.
• Confidence discussing vehicle repairs, service requirements and associated costs.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
