Vehicle Technician

The Opportunity
We are recruiting an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a busy and successful aftersales team at an established, award-winning dealership in Leicester.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician to work within a professional workshop, carrying out servicing, repairs and diagnostics on a wide range of vehicles. Manufacturer training, career development and a comprehensive benefits package are available.
Key Responsibilities

• Service and repair vehicles of all makes and models.
• Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and prepare new and used vehicles to manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose faults and perform vehicle testing.
• Complete repairs efficiently and within manufacturer timeframes.
• Accurately complete job cards and relevant documentation.
• Maintain consistently high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.
• Keep the workshop clean, organised and compliant with health and safety requirements.
• Work professionally with colleagues and customers.
• Participate in ongoing training to develop technical skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least two years' experience working in a busy franchised car dealership.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• A professional approach with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

MOT testing experience is desirable but not essential.
Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 8:00am-5:00pm.
• Saturday: 8:30am-12:30pm on a rota basis.
