Position: Traffic Officer
Rate: £40.00 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: 3 Months 

Job Role:

The Traffic and Highway Services Officer is responsible for managing traffic, parking, transport, and highway-related projects from inception to completion

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage allocated projects related to Traffic, Parking, Transport, and Highway Services from initiation (feasibility studies, design, CAD drawings, and report preparation) to completion (raising orders, contractor supervision, and invoice processing).
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, Transport for London (TfL) regulations, and local council standards.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of traffic, parking, highway, and transport service regulations.
• Assist in budget compilation, monitoring, and management for projects and work programs.
• Prepare reports, including cabinet reports, briefing documents, and evidence for complex issues.
• Respond to correspondence and inquiries related to traffic and highway matters.
• Provide expert input into departmental and corporate initiatives requiring traffic and highways expertise.

• Strong knowledge of traffic, parking, highway, and transport legislation.
• Familiarity with TfL and local authority policies.
• Experience in project management, including budgeting and financial monitoring.
• Proficiency in CAD design and technical reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and correspondence.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet regulatory standards.
