Tempting Recruitment are working alongside our client, a Local Authority, who are looking to recruit an experienced Residential Family Support Worker to join their team based in the East London.
  
JOB DETAILS

• PAY RATE: £29,000 - £32,000. 
• WORK TYPE: Permanent
• WORK PATTERN: Full Time
• LOCATION: East London

  
JOB SUMMARY
The Residential Family Support Worker will be working with Children and Families who have suffered trauma through neglect, emotional trauma, physical/sexual abuse/mental health and substance misuse. 

JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

•  Delivering parental support and learning sessions around basic care/child development/attachment/household management/budgeting
• Completing complex reports for Court, providing expert witness opinions
• Residential environment means that would be required to undertake shift work/sleep ins/weekend work and wake in nights

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

• Previous experience working in a Residential or youth work 
• Need to be empathetic, person centered and have the ability to support the families to problem solve/find solutions whilst empowering them to make and sustain positive changes
