Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in West Yorkshire, are looking for an experienced SEN Tribunal & Mediation Officer to join their team and play a crucial role within their SEND Operation 

Role: SEN Tribunal & Mediation Officer
Pay: £22.94 ph umbrella
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
Contract Length: 6 months rolling
Location: West Yorkshire

Responsibilities: 

• Manage complex Tribunal and mediation cases, prepare evidence, liaise with families, schools and legal representatives, and work to statutory timescales.
• To keep abreast of new legislation and Government initiatives and take an active role in Regional work in order to enhance local service delivery and School Improvement.
•  have a key strategic role in the development and implementation of the Local Authority's SEN policy decisions and assist in the development of educational provision.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working for a Local Authority or similar organisation.
• Experience working in a SEN Tribunal & Mediation Officer or similar role
• Experience of SEND casework and a strong understanding of the Children and Families Act 2014, SEND Code of Practice, mediation and SEND Tribunal processes.
