The role
Join our dynamic team as a Receipt Technician in an environmental laboratory in Hamilton, NZ. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and booking samples, allocating appropriate testing efficiently, and ensuring compliance with ISO17025 standards. A strong focus on Health & Safety awareness and practices is essential, as is active participation in continuous improvement initiatives to maintain and enhance laboratory processes. You will handle client queries professionally, including managing phone communications, while utilizing software tools such as Excel and LIMS for sample management and reporting. This position is ideal for detail-oriented individuals with a passion for environmental science, safety, and process improvement.
The day to day
- Preparing/booking samples and allocating testing in a timely manner.
- Abiding by guidelines detailed in the ISO17025 standard.
- Acquiring a sound understanding of Health & Safety awareness and practices.
- Active participation in continuous improvement projects, including upkeep of established processes.
- Resolving client queries, including incoming and out-going phone calls.
- Using different softwares such as excel and lims

Eligibility To be eligible to work at ALS you must be a New Zealand Citizen, Permanent Resident or either hold or be able to obtain, a valid working visa. The successful applicant must be willing to undergo a National Criminal History Check if requested. Applicants should have a reliable mode of transport to Ruakura Research Centre in Hamilton
